Biography

One of the most brilliant and sought-after young directors in musical theatre. His notable productions include Pride and Prejudice at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Evita at the Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy Theatre, and Stilyagi at the Theatre of Nations.

In 2017, he directed a concert staging of Rossini's opera Il Viaggio a Reims and the theatrical concert The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Carnival of the Animals at the Bolshoi Theatre.

He authored the libretto and directed the ballet Gabrielle Chanel by Igor Demutsky, created for Svetlana Zakharova, which premiered at the Bolshoi Theatre in June 2019.

From 2022 to 2024, he served as the Chief Director of the Lenkom Mark Zakharov Theatre. In December 2024, he was appointed Artistic Director of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Uzbekistan.

Awards: He is a three-time laureate of the Golden Mask National Theatre Award in the "Operetta-Musical / Best Director" category (2016 – The Gift of the Magi, 2018 – Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, 2020 – Stilyagi).
